Will be staying in Bethesda Maryland and am looking for something to do NY Eve - family of 4 youngest 20- not looking for a wild party.
1) Does the Metro really close at midnight even on NY Eve?
2) any suggestions for restaurants in DC or Bethesda that would be casual and not majorly pricey.
Thinking we might go see the national Christmas tree and then possible stay for the fireworks.
Any thoughts?
purpose of trip is to attend Redskins v Giants game on NY Day
The Metro really does close at midnight. They are repairing the system.
In Bethesda, I like the Woodmont Grill -- good American food. Not cheap or pricey imo. Lots of other choices. Many likely to be busy so I would suggest reserving a table if possible.
The idea of seeing the tree and the fireworks is good. I would Uber back to Bethesda if I were you.
Enjoy your visit.
Do you mean the fireworks in Alexandria?
