I will be on vacation in Washington DC starting this Saturday. Does anyone have any recommendations for good apps to download like Metro apps,etc?

I suggest checking WMATA (Metro) for bus & rail. The Smithsonian may have something app-wise.
Sorry, I'm not an app user, but some of the other DC posters or people who've visited recently may have suggestions.
Not necessarily an app but a website. Look at Goldstar DC if interested on discount tickets for theatre, river cruises, events. Not sure how long you're in town, but the DC RS group is meeting up on 9/24 in the Penn Quarter area.
