What are the Bastille Day events going on around here?
Years ago the elderly chef of the creperie on the mezzanine on Piedmont Ave would hand each of us a little flag and we would march around the sidewalk singing, that was fun. I forget her name -- it was mostly omelettes and crepes with one or two specials that would run out before the evening was done. There was a big clafoutis cooling on the pass once and she slapped my hand to keep me from taking a taste. There was usually a cat or two hanging around as well. Anyone remember?
