We'll be in Canmore/Banff and Jasper in August. I'm finding several options for chairlifts/gondolas. We wouldn't be using these for hiking access - just for scenic views.
Opinions on which would be "best"?
Many thanks!

I haven't done the Banff townsite Gondola for so long that i can't really comment. I think it has very good views and is convenient, but also very popular and busier. Sunshine mountain Gondola is quieter, and at the top you can take another smaller chair lift to see some pretty lovely views too. I know you don't want to hike, but there is a very pretty walk from up there.
I've only done Lake Louise Gondola while skiing. It does have some nice views of the lake from the top. I think you planned to park there in your other post, so that might work for you from a timing perspective.
The Banff Gondola (Sulphur Mountain) is very cool, thrilling, great views and close to town (if you're staying in Banff).
We're staying in Canmore but using shuttles as much as possible since parking is problematic. Just exploring options for views "from the top". These gondolas/chair lifts are, IMO and budget, somewhat pricey (as expected for the area) so want to make an informed choice with benefit of opinions from those who have been there.
It's been years since I've done the one in Banff up to Sulphur Mountain but I've always found it a but dull. Maybe it's because I'm in Banff a few times a year. But the gondola in Jasper is amazing. https://www.banffjaspercollection.com/attractions/jasper-skytram/ there is more walking involved with the Jasper gondola for the best views. Except for skiing I haven't done the ones at Sunshine and Lake Louise.
I’m leaning towards the one at Jasper since we have so many other things to do around Banff. Many thanks for the replies.
