Australia VISA Costs

Hello again, it's me from the Coober Pedy post last month... I found out once I booked my flight that we will need travel VISAs for Australia. My first inclination was to check with our local AAA travel branch to see about a member discount. They don't issue them, but referred me to another place (that referred me to an online company). The website I was referred to by the second agency said that the VISAs would cost about $45 per person for the tourist type we need. I just found a website called www.easyETA.com that said they will be $9.95 USD! The site has a GoDaddy certificate and looks legitimate, but I would like to know if anyone has heard of any scams regarding this site. Also, what has everyone else been paying for their VISAs?

Why not get the visa directly from the Australian government online. Can't get more real and trustworthy than that.

This is a general tourist visa and cost is AU$20 or about US$15. Not sure what specific type you might need, there are several, but the web site should be able to tell you.

Mark is correct. All you need is the standard Electronic Travel Authority (the official name for it) from the website he provided. No need to go thru a 3rd party. Just read thru the instructions and follow the cues to apply for one for each member of your family. It's all electronic and will be stored in the gov't computers - can't enter the country without them.
I always printed a copy of my receipt, just in case, but never had occasion to use it.

I just got my ETA the other day. They link it to your passport, so you will want to have all your passport information handy as you go through the steps in applying.

Yes I went to Australia tourist visa and the ETA
Site was an option. Read each visa option clearly. Sub 600 and sub605 are for tourists and cost 20.00 Canadian.

This visa is linked to your visa instantly if you have a certain visa....Canadian, US etc

When I'm in customs this visa will pop up that I qualified and Shazam done!
