Australia - plane "eurail"

Hi,
I'm headed to Australia this summer.
I want to travel as much of the country as I can in the limited time I'll be there.

Some time ago - I heard of an unlimited plane ticket. -- it was described as a eurail for planes.
I haven't been able to find this type of "thing" with my web searches.

I'm reaching out to the community to see if I remember this correctly? Has someone used this before? can someone direct me to a "better" websearch for this product.
Thanks.

It doesn't exist.

Main domestic carriers are Qantas, Virgin, Jetstar and Rex. Australian airfares are expensive.

Not sure if this helps but back in the day Qantas offered I think it was called a kangaroo pass that let us fly to several cities, saved a lot of money. It looks like they do something similar now called Qantas Explorer so you might look there. Good luck!

@ IMA

You will need to book via the Qantas USA website. Qantas Explorer Pass. Not available to me. Did not know about it.
Read T&Cs carefully.

Want to get your heart pumping try this,

In my youth could take our small runabouts to Ningaloo Reef and enjoy this. Tightly controlled and regulated now, as it should be.
May still be the odd humpback around in August.

I am a regular Qantas flyer. Usually at least monthly. Off to Perth on Wednesday. Recommend them highly. I have achieved lifetime frequent flyer status and am treated well. Safest airline in the world.

Disclosure: I am a shareholder.

The Qantas Explorer package looks interesting and is worth researching I think.
We typically rely on Jetstar, the Qantas low-cost affiliate, for moving around the country. It's a spartan (no frills) carrier but it'll get you where you want to go, and typically for much cheaper prices than parent airline Qantas.
Might add that Jetstar has cheap fares from Honolulu to Sydney and Melbourne if you fancy a possible stopover in Hawaii on the way over (or on your return). We've done it a couple of times in conjunction with visits with family on Oahu and it's a very pleasant way to go.

Another option is the Melbourne-Launceston ferry - its 12 hours - but its overnight -so it can save you time plus a night's accommodation if you are OK sleeping on chairs.
