Hello. I will be going to the Philippines in February. The country in southeast Asia is beautiful, especially for those who enjoy hiking. I am interested in ascending Mt. Pinatubo. I learned that visitors who want to see the volcano have to take a four-wheel-drive vehicle up part of the way and then walk the last two hours.
Have any Rick Steves' readers ascended Pinatubo and did you like the activity? How long does it take to get from Manila to Santa Juliana, the town closest to Pinatubo?
