I’m planning to visit Cuba for the first time. As I am a US citizen, and am worried about the entry. Hope to get some recent experiences visiting there.
Thank you!
JJ
I’d love to visit there, but please read the State Department’s website; Travel to Cuba for tourist activities remains prohibited by statute. A visa is required. It also says U.S. credit and debit cards do not work in Cuba. The Cuban Central Bank announced new restrictions on the use or conversion of U.S. dollars beginning June 21, 2021. U.S. dollars in cash cannot be converted to local currency, may not be accepted for payment, and cannot be used to pay fees or taxes at the airport. Can you get there via a 3rd country, yes. Some previous posts (a while ago) mentioned Euros as an acceptable currency.
I'll go there once it is free.
