We're going to be in Siem Reap and are excited about exploring Angkor Wat. We'll have two full days and want to maximize our experience and see as much as possible. I thought hiring a private guide would be the best option and was hoping there is someone or a guide service you could suggest.

Sorry I don't have a suggestion for a specific private guide (I was on a Gate1 group tour) but I agree it is wise to hire a guide. The site is very spread out and at a minimum having transport will keep you from wilting (sooooo hot and muggy). A guide can also help avoid the crowds and catch the right light (some temples are better lit in morning, others in afternoon). The Angkor Wat main temple was a bucket list item for me, but it turned out the smaller temples should have been on my list instead. Have a great trip!
