Albuquerque Airport

While I know this is not about travel to Europe…
I will be traveling to Albuquerque and I will need a hotel for one night with transportation the next morning to the airport for an early departure.
Ideally a shuttle.
Anyone familiar with the area?

We stayed one night at the Sheraton Albuquerque Airport Hotel in January; free shuttle to and from airport. Very courteous drivers. Had dinner at the hotel (something we rarely do but there's nothing nearby) and were very pleased with the food and the service.
Room was clean, quiet and spacious.

I am fully aware of this area. Are you also returning a car the night before?

All the immediate area hotels have free shuttles.

Completely within walking distance, with sidewalk and crosswalks:
Sheraton Albuquerque Airport

Possibly within walking distance (uphill) but I don't think there is a sidewalk
Staybridge Suites (free dinner M-W)
Homewood Suites (free dinner M-Th)
Holiday Inn Suites
Hyatt Place
Hampton Inn
Comfort Suites

A mile but there's a shuttle (5 am OK)
Holiday Inn Express
Across the street are 2 or 3 Marriott chains on the same property.

Had dinner at the hotel (something we rarely do but there's nothing nearby)

Well, not really true, there's a Waffle House 2 blocks away and a Village Inn closer. 3 blocks to the Applebee's on the Marriott property and a Fuddrucker's across the street. This is kind of a deserted area, I have been panhandled here.

Well if you need dinner than pick the Sheraton or one of the Marriotts (Fairfield, Courtyard, Townplace) and walk to the Applebees. If one of the free dinner nights works (fixed meal) then stay at the Staybridge or Homewood. My go to hotel is the Staybridge.

Any of the other hotels works, also. You will likely leave before breakfast is offered so that’s not a factor.
