Has anyone had any experience using EVA Airways for long-haul flights? We’re planning a visit to Vietnam in February and have never even heard of this airline. Comfort (in economy class) is a priority for us, because it’s a very long journey.
EVA Air is a very reputable Taiwan airline. I have never flown it but plenty friends and relatives have. It has superb service from what I have been told. https://www.airlinequality.com/airline-reviews/eva-air/
I am also flying EVA air in February. I haven't flown them before, so I can't comment on that, but I read some good reviews of their Premium Economy (which is what we chose). Reviews of regular economy are more mixed.

I have flown with EVA twice from Seattle, the first time to Thailand in 2019 in premium economy and last December to Vietnam in economy. It is a very good airline. Taipei is a very good and easy airport for a layover. We flew into Hanoi and home from Saigon. Don't hesitate to use EVA. We loved Vietnam!
I have also flown EVA air twice. Very good airline, I would not hesitate to fly them again.
I tried EVA Business Class and enjoyed the onboard experience. Not sure about their econ and prem econ classes. Bear in mind that their prem econ seats don't offer a leg rest (except bulkhead seats which are reserved for babies).
I highly recommend Japan Airlines, which I flew in March 2023 from Tokyo to Bangkok. Super pleasant, clean, and spacious.
Thank you everyone!
Maybe we'll unknowingly cross paths in Vietnam. :) Enjoy!
It looks like Eva Air is a good choice for you.
I concur with what has been said above. I've flown EVA within Asia and found the service excellent.
We are looking into airlines for November. EVA premier economy.
Did you wind up booking with EVA? We are looking at flights now as well.
