Hello! We are going on a trip to Africa and I am looking to see the best way to fly from Kilimanjaro, Tanzania to Kigali, Rwanda. Is anyone aware of small airlines that fly direct? Flying July 14, 2025. The only flights I see are with Rwanda Air and the flight times are long with layovers. Thanks!

Did a search "private air service JRO-KGL" and found several options. One priced out at $11k ( Checked only one of the options)
No personal knowledge
That would be great. I’m looking in Rwanda Air for 14 July 2025 and shortest flight is 6 hrs. Where did you find a 3 hr 45 min flight with one stop?
OOPS
I put in the wrong date.
Can you fly on Friday? It has the flight time I mentioned.
Need more coffee. That's my story and I'm sticking with it. :-)
Looking at skyscanner.com I see choices ( on 7-14) that run in the ~7.5 hr total travel time range.
Beware to note some offerings shown are 'self transfer' ( i.e., essentially two unconnected tickets)
In general, the major carriers in E Africa are Kenya AIrways and Ethiopian Airways. Hence, you will generally need to route through Nairobi or Addis to get to Kigali. Anything else will be a small airline and getting a direct flight will be difficult, if at all possible, since Kigali isn't a big tourist draw though the genocide museum is heart breaking and emotionally draining.
RwandAir is also a pretty big airline in Africa these days and you should be able to get some direct flights to Kigali- definitely if you go via Dar. I have flown them and they are absolutely fine.
