My husband and I have a Patagonia tour booked in mid March. To get there, we will have an overnight layover in Santiago. We plan to stay at the airport hotel for convenience the next morning (very early flight) and are wondering if there are any recommended tour guides to enhance our day in the city. Thanks for your input!
We spent several days in Chile, including 6 in Santiago. Our #1 favorite was the Chilean Museum of PreColumbian Art. Magnificent collections! We used the very efficient subway system to navigate the city, or walked. I don't know about getting there from an airport hotel. When we arrived we took a taxi to our lodgings and once again back to the airport on departure. The cost was reasonable. Depending on when you arrive at Santiago, I would just taxi to the museum, which is close to the city center around a nice square.
