We would like to stay in Causeway Bay Central Hong Kong. Any suggestions on a nice hotel under $200 per night. Or any other suggestions. First time in Hong Kong.
Is that Hong Kong or American dollars?
American dollars.
Causeway Bay and Central are two different areas. Or did you mean central Causeway Bay?
What are some "nice hotel"s in LA near you? That will provide some context for suggestions.
Yes. Central Causway Bay. We usually stay at Marriott.
It's not in Causeway Bay, but if you like to stay at Marriott hotels and want something under $200 per night on Hong Kong Island, you might consider the Courtyard Hong Kong on Connaught Road. It is a short walk to the HKU MTR station, offers a free shuttle to several key locations, is next to a bus stop, and I think is near other transportation. It is next to a couple convenience stores too. We were upgraded to a harbour view room and enjoyed the breakfast buffet at the Momo Cafe.
Another recommendation is the Salisbury YMCA in Kowloon. It is in a convenient location for sightseeing and transportation, is next to the iconic Peninsula Hotel but has much lower rates, and has some nice harbour views. Read the reviews on Tripadvisor to get a better feel for it.
Never stayed in Causeway Bay, nor do I know where is considered central Causeway Bay. If you need or wish to stay at somewhere specific, your hotel choices would obviously be more limited. Head over to TA's HK forum, and the locals should be of help.
