Woolrunners and Teva boots

I read numerous reviews about both of these shoes, so decided to give them both a try. Absolutely love the Woolrunners! Right out of the box they were comfortable. Although, I did feel like the ball of my foot was a little too close to the ground. I have problems occasionally with ball of foot pain so I bought a very inexpensive pair of the ball of foot cushions which solved my issue completely. I will be buying more of these. I don't want to take them off at night.

Now for the Teva de la vina boots; They were ok. I wore them on a couple of occasions. Before I left home, I felt the need to replace the insole ( rather flat and not much cushion). They did not rub blisters but felt a little heavy over a day of touring in them. Also, they feel a little bulky through the top of the foot near the ankle. I will say, they certainly kept me dry, as we had some pretty significant rain one day.. Overall, I choose my UGG boots ( leather- that fit just under the knee, that I have had for 4-5 years over the Tevas.

The men's version of Woolrunners seem to lack basic support for significant walking, but may be comfortable to slip on near the very end of a day.

I too was not impressed with the insole that came with my Teva boots. With the exception of Alegria shoes, I only buy shoes/boots with removable foot beds so I can place my own insole in them. I have three pairs of de la Vina boots and am soon adding the tall boot to my collection. These work for me as my only shoe/boot when traveling fall/winter.

I haven't tried the Teva's but I LOVE my Woolrunners!! Took them to Germany and walked a lot. I plan to take them to Ireland in a few weeks.
