I am looking for a lightweight, breathable shoe that will go with a dress, jeans,Capri etc. Possibly something like this https://images.app.goo.gl/TnSSkvxradt8Ljjf7 but need something way cheaper. I would wear these in October in Greece if it is cooler and or rainy. Any ideas?
Canvas is uncomfortable to me, but if these are available in leather, I might try them. I usually bring a pair of Maryjanes, as they go with everything. We averaged about 10 miles a day of walking in Paris a couple of weeks ago, and I didn't have any problems. I am lucky to have a Cole Hahn outlet nearby, so I picked up a great pair of their stylish, very comfortable, leather and suede sneakers, which worked well, too. I switched them out every other day. Many brands sell comfortable Maryjanes, but I wore Clarks. Good luck!!
What part of October? Rains arrive in later part of the month.
First two weeks. I may try some water resistant spray.
I found a web site called Hotter based in England with a wide variety of comfy shoes.
prices are in dollars for USA and often have sales. I ordered 3 pairs so far and happy
with them. check them out.
I usually prefer leather shoes and have a pair of Clark's loafers that I wore all over Europe. They're 2 years old and still going strong, even after getting soaked a couple of times.
I did buy a pair of Sketchers Bob's slip ons for our Asia cruise. The canvas was much more comfortable in the heat and humidity and they are very comfortable. Plus you can throw them in the washing machine. Stuffed with newspaper, they dry overnight.
Hi LF,
Do you live near a Macy's store? Within the link, if you scroll down, you'll see a few similar, casual styles to the picture you posted

The "Skechers Women's GOwalk Joy Casual Walking Sneakers from Finish Line" seem to be a little similar to your picture.
Also, "Skechers Women's Relaxed Fit: Reggae Fest - Trail Dame Walking Sneakers from Finish Line" - Looks like they have a 'rose/pink' color.
For me, I like to go in a store and try on shoes or boots. Just like jeans, every cut and stitch can fit differently.
I have no personal experience with the shoes I suggested.
I've been happy with Skechers, Bobs, and also Jambu shoes. I've been shopping mostly at DSW, as of late. I often end up ordering online (free shipping) and then returning/exchanging at one of their stores. I wear a 6 1/2 or 7 W so often I need to resort to online. My skechers are a synthetic braid type fabric and I've wiped them down a few times to clean with good results/
I like the Grasshopper Blaise wedge shoe. Slight wedge heel makes it looks a little dressier than other flats they have. Have worn all day with no problems. They come in sand, navy and black. They dry pretty fast if they get damp and are fairly light. You can usually find them at DSW, on Amazon or their own website. I found they run pretty true to size. Have a great trip!
Thank you for all your help. I have order a few pairs of shoes.
