I wanted to recommend a boot for women - UGG Bonham. It's a leather Chelsea boot with a lug sole with some good grip and a water resistant upper. I have slightly wide feet (sometimes a medium and sometimes a wide) with a high instep and these fit very comfortably. They seem warm even though they aren't lined with the usual Ugg shearling, it's a lighter lining. I think they'll be good for winter travel. In addition to my UK trip in December, I travel to Chicago frequently so they'll get a lot of use.
For reference, I tried the popular Teva De La Vina ankle boot and it was too tight on my instep and too narrow. Thought this might be helpful to anyone looking for a cute winter boot.
