Sole Bliss??

I bought two pairs of these shoes after reading an article in the NYTimes lauding their fits for people with bunions.

They are made in England.

I like them well enough, but have trouble closing the zipper...the sneakers have a side zipper so you do not have to do and undo the laces.

They are expensive, but the company runs frequent sales.

Just curious about anyone else's experience with Sole Bliss sneakers..

They look very cute although the price scares me off.

When you say you have trouble closing the zipper, is it because the shoe is too tight on your foot, or the zipper is too inflexible/stiff? If the latter, you might want to try rubbing the zipper with bar soap. That is a trick I've used in sewing a stiff zipper. Just rub it lightly (on both sides if you can) and then run the zipper up and down a few times.

Thanks for your response. I think the answer is both. The zipper does not have enough room to close properly so it's hard to zip entirely. And also the actual mechanism is a little tough/stiff...but I will try your helpful hint!!

I made a mistake buying them..they are too expensive and do not merit the high price; I did buy the second pair on sale but still....

They do look great--they manage to be stylish and also pretty comfortable. But for me, so hard to put on....

I have so many pairs of Sole Bliss sneakers! I had the same problem of struggling to close up the zipper until I realised you're supposed to adjust the laces the first time you wear them...

With my first pair I called them to complain about the zipper and they told me that when you first try them on you need to loosen the laces first, put your foot in, then tighten them to however is comfortable. Then after that you just use the zipper to take them on and off and don't have to touch the laces!

They could make it a little clearer that this is what you're supposed to do though I think as it's not that obvious. Anyway I've taken their advice with every pair I've bought since and the zippers have been completely fine! And the sneakers are so pretty and comfortable... on the more expensive side but so worth it for my bunions.

Tanya thanks so much!!! They are really sharp-looking, and comfy. The issue of taking them on and off stops me from wearing them more often but I am going to follow your advice and break them in better...they look great for casual or even for nice restaurants...
