I tried on a few pairs of their sandals. They didn't work for me (I didn't keep them) and I thought they felt and looked cheaply made. I couldn't see them lasting hundreds of miles. There are other brands with built-in arch support if that is what you are looking for. My husband wears some Kuru tennis shoes. They last him 2+years and he walks a lot. They are only available online, but have free shipping and returns. We have tried on and returned a few pairs with no questions asked.

What works for you may not work for me and vice versa. Shoes are so individual. I'm a Nurse and stand & walk on hard floors all day. I have tried every shoe out there since 1990. Currently my favorite shoes are Keen Targhee 3 or 4 (the waterproof version for Europe) and Hoka Bondi 8 -- although my new fav from Hoka is the Bondi SR - I took them to Italy in October and will take them to France Next month. For sandals for dinners, etc, I like Taos. Again - it is such an individual issue. Many of my friends love the OnCloud, I did NOT like them. Same with Sketchers. I do take all my shoes to FleetFeet and have better inserts placed in them.

I swear by the Brooks Ghost series of running shoes (although I am only a walker), after trying out a bunch of others, including Orthofeet. Ultimately you have to keep buying until you find the shoes that give you the ride you desire, no easy way around this. I rated Orthofeet at the bottom, FWIW, but again that is a personal thing, YMMV.

Look at the Keen brand of shoes. Big fan. Own 8 pairs. Lace ups, slides and sandals. Different pairs have been worn in Havana, London, Paris, Rome, NYC, Belfast, Florence, LA, Vegas, to name a few travel sojourns.

Not cheap but IMHO their comfort and durability is worth the money.

I use to wear Keens, but they no longer work for me. After trying many, many, many brands of shoes, I am successfully in Dansko Paisley wides, and also in Haflinger GZ clogs. These shoes returned my freedom to me. And I love the look.
