One shoe, Two shoes

Later this summer I'm going on BOE 14 days. I found a great pair of walking shoes, Ecco BIOM 2.0. My question is for a second pair... and I'm only going to take two pairs of shoes. Should I do a pair of walking sandles (I'll be in Italy for just over a week) or another pair of walking shoes? The first pair are light grey, I'm a little concerned with the hiking in Switzerland and mud.

That is kind of a tennis shoe looking shoe. I am big fan of Ecco but more of the leather oxford. I like the waterproofing and protection of a leather shoe. It has interchangeable inner soles so I take an extra set of inner soles and change them daily to negate the need for a second pair of shoes.

I’m a huge fan of the Keen brand.

Years back suffered debilitating plantar fasciitis. Not fun. A work colleague recommended the brand. Went to REI. Bought a pair of sandals, the Keen Newports in red. Within days the plantar fasciitis disappeared, never to return.

Depending on the time of the year and where I’m heading I’ll pack 2 pair. They are pricey but are durable.

Still wear those first pair of sandals.

Take a look at the low cut voyager. Wear these nearly every day as I hike trails in Griffith Park.
That pair has been to UK 3 times.
