Looking forward to trying Aetrex Sandals!

Always looking for cute and comfy. I have plans to go to Italy late September. Crossing fingers it will still happen and continuing with my shopping.

I have high arches, a wide foot and suffer from plantar fasciitis from time to time. I’ll be wearing dresses and jumpsuits that look best with white sandals. I’ll let you know how it goes this week. It doesn’t come in wide, but I read it runs wide.

Thanks for the recommendation. They look comparable to my go-to Naot sandal, but with a cushy ankle strap - that’s a bonus. I have all of your foot issues plus I’m recovering from a recent foot surgery, so I’m interested to hear how it goes. I successfully just tried out a pair of Aetrex L600 orthotic inserts in my A’rcopedico lace ups on a walking intensive US trip. They fit nicely in the smallish shoe and still offered a lot of arch support.

I'm a big fan of Aetrex inserts (W7700) also. They seem to make a lot of difference for me; I have higher-than-average arches.

High arches of the world unite. That's me - 7.5 wide with high arch.

I'm shopping for a Sep trip as well - but Switzerland - so taking advantage of after winter sales. Just got a pair of Abeo Lite Enola for half price. The insole is awesome.

I too have high arches. My podiatrist and a separate foot surgeon both recommended aetrex. In fact, the surgeon’s office recommended the the shoe inserts, the one with the metarsal pad. I also have a neuroma.

I’m glad I started this thread because I’ve learned about the Aetrex supports! So, I have a Morton’s neuroma and another nerve issue similar that is causing me issues. My doc just placed a pad underneath my insert with an area cut out for the nerve. Don’t know if that makes sense.

I only have them in my walking sneakers. I’m not too keen to spend $350 on custom orthotics, so will look at these Aetrex ones.

Abeo has a great arch. I wanted to take my favorite pair, but the leather has stretched and not sure if I can walk up to 10 miles in them now...so looking for another pair. I saw these to try in case the Aetrex don’t Work.

I’m currently on my first pair of Aetrex, Corinne monk strap. They have totally been worth the cost. The arch is high enough to give support and the strap is located so that it hold the arch tightly to my foot. I love that they come in half sizes, so that I have a better fit. The arch hurt when I first started wearing them ( the kind of pain you feel when you’re rolling that ball u dear your foot exercise)but now they are really comfortable. I’m going to order inserts and a pair of sandals for our next trip. I made the mistake of wearing the wrong shoes for last summer’s tour and have paid the price for months.

Thanks for this thread.

Well, I’m so bummed. They are adorable, fit a wide foot perfectly and has a nice arch support. I’d keep them for sure, but the problem is where the arch support is for my foot. It’s placed further back than what I need. Abeo’s fit my arch perfectly. I lined them up with those and it was noticeable.

That doesn’t mean it won’t work for you though. They are definitely worth a try. The arch height seemed high enough. For the price though, they need to be perfect for my foot.

Aw, I’m bummed for you. I’m lucky to have a local store that carries Aetrex. It’s worth stopping in and trying a pair to see if they would work. I’ve got 2 months to break in new sandals before my next adventure.

Jen, they were made well, too. A very nice padded strap in back. You should really pop in the store. I have Walking Company store in my city. I’m going tomorrow.

I just got these in the mail, I’ll repost from above. They are very comfortable and pretty cute. They run wide in the toe box area, and I got the medium width and I am a wide width wearer. I would say if you are a medium or narrow, you won’t like these, but for us wide width gals, they are great.

I normally am a 10 wide. These are extremely comfortable right now (10 Medium) but I worry the straps in front would be too loose after awhile. I’m going to get a 9.5 M just to compare. I do think the arch support isn’t as high as another pair of abeos I have, so I was a little disappointed in that. I do have really high arches, so it’s worth a try for your feet.

Unfortunately not many colors, but I’m going in September and will be wearing lots of summer clothing still.

Thanks to this thread, I decided to try a cute pair of Aetrex "Mina" Mary Janes when they were having a multi-layer discount plus free shipping. Just tried them on today. I love them! Super comfy. And the multi-color of the fabric coordinates nicely with my navy/wine fall travel colors. Can't wait to take them on a trip! And around the neighborhood, until then.

Thanks for all the reviews!

My first pair were the “Corinne”. I was having a miserable bout of plantar fasciitis and these were a blessing. I vary between a 5 1/2 & 6 and got them in a 5 1/2. My next pair was the “Kylee” slip on. The 5 1/2 was too tight and the arch support wasn’t as good. I ordered a 6 and bought a pair of removable inserts as well. They’re still not as comfortable as the Corinnes, but they are fine for wearing around town and look very nice. Also, I can use the inserts in other shoes.
