I purchased both a Skecher walking shoe and a Keen sandal - LOVE THEM BOTH~!~!!

I am not even on my trip yet and already love these shoes. The Skechers is like walking on a soft cloud and the Keen Sandals are so comfortable. Whoever recommend I would like to thank you!

Great. Comfortable footwear makes all the difference when you're walking as much as you will be. And kudos to you for breaking them in first.

Any shoe you can describe as "walking on a soft cloud" is the perfect shoe! Cobblestones and the other weird pavements in Europe wreak havoc on my feet and back--my soft clouds are a pair of Fly London rubber wedge-heeled boots, and I have a pair of their sandals with the same heel for warm weather needs..

What Skecher style did you buy?

YES! I totally agree. I bought two pairs of the Sketchers "memory foam" shoes for two weeks in Spain. These were so comfortable for long days of walking (~15,000 steps a day according to Fitbit) and the flats were dressy enough to wear to a nicer restaurants, versus sneakers or Teva sandals. I still wear them to work all the time. They're both discounted at DSW.

Excellent news. Happy feet when traveling is the key to a comfortable vacation. Glad you found two pairs that you love. I'm a Keen aficionado. Started when I bought a pair nearly a decade ago for my daily hikes to Griffith Observatory here in LA.

I was suffering from painful planter facitius and swear that within a week it was gone never to return because of the Keens.

Always take two pair when I travel. Comfortable, extremely light, durable and perfect for my style of dress.

Pricey? Yes but I'm a walker, stroller, hiker, meanderer and having happy feet means everything to me.

Have a great trip. Enjoy the comfort!

I've recommended the Keens several times and glad you're happy with them! I like not needing to wear socks in the summer and when I'm on vacation. And, the toe protector has been invaluable on our last two trips....kept me going, going, going when I might have injured a toe, otherwise. Enjoy your trip!

I love me sketchers...I have recommended them many times on here, even for just walking around your own city, much less travel. I always felt sure footed in them and they transition well from cobblestone walkways, to the sleek marble floors of museums, and your toes are protected (somewhat). I am prone to foot and knee problems and sketchers does more than just feel great, they align your body for total joint support, my knees like these shoes too. Mine have a thick sole making them that much more comfortable I think mine are Go Walk 3?

I wanted to like Skechers due to all of the rave reviews, but sadly not enough arch support for me. However, I love my Keen Newport sandals, ugly but comfy and I am trying a new brand to me, Bzees by Naturalizer, again, like walking on a cloud.

Yeah I can see how that may lose your interest. But I do love them and I did purchase some support if I need to but I do not think I will need it.

Amazon - they have all of their line for less than other stores have it.

I love traveling with my Skechers Flex slip ons. They are black on black and have fixed laces, so classier than runners. Walked all over Paris, Dijon and NYC wearing them. No foot pain or tired legs. I am definitely going to take them to Italy in Sept and may buy some Skechers ballet style too. Hubby wears the Skechers memory foam slip ons. We usually get them at DSW or Skechers Outlet.

I bought Go Walks in hopes of being able to wear them while working at a garden center on concrete. While they are comfortable, and great for running around on the weekends, they were torture for walking all day. There is just no arch support (and my orthotics don't fit in them). I hope you have a better experience when you actually walk all day on your trip.

Just bought a pair of Keens (most expensive shoes I have ever owned) I really like them. I think they will turn out to be a smart purchase!
