Hiking and city shoes

I need shoes for the inca trail and a lighter pair for lima and cusco.

I can only pack a carry on, so I don't want the shoes to take up too much room.

Shoes?
Any suggestions in Peru?

Wear your hiking boots, pack your hut shoes. Best boots/shoes are those that fit and are tested with the sock you will be using during your training work up to the adventure.

Whomever suggested those cmuk travel shoes is a good idea, I'm grabbing a pair of the cmuk and north face hiking boots.

Northface will be on me on the airplane and the cmuk shoes will pack easily in my daypack.

Grazie!

straw,

as mentioned wear you hiking boots, but do it while your on the plane so it takes up less space in your luggage. Do that for all of your bulky gear if you can.

as far as what to get, its best to let your feet figure that out. everyone will have a different favorite that works.

if you have any shop like an REI check them out

also, whatever you get, make sure you wear them alot before you go and if you can wear/use them on paths/dirt/concrete.

happy trails.
