Fly London?

Do any of you have these? Are they two high to wear with shorts? I'm looking for a cute walking sandal with good arch support and these look sort of fun and funky. I'm looking at this one, but in magenta.. I was looking for black, but this might be a fun color. Looking for a sandal to go with black, white and khaki shorts and black walking skirt.

I purchased Taos Party last year and they just didn't hold up in the long term...they turned out to be too hard and not enough arch support.

Those sandals might be good for dress-up, but that platform makes them look too unstable for walking.

I would probably have an orthopedic incident in them, but my daughter swears Fly wedges are the greatest shoes she has.

I have the ankle-strap version with the same wedge sole and I love them. They are actually very comfortable for walking---and I don't normally wear a heel higher than 1". I would not wear them for all-day walking, but they are fine for going out in the evening for dinner or theater.

I don't have this style--looks like maybe your foot wouldn't be held very securely--but one called the Yile (open toe but top of foot more covered, back strap) has been a great walking sandal. Amazon has some great prices right now. I must say I swear by Fly London boots on this same wedge, they are my tried-and-true travel boot, perfect for miles of walking over cobbles and everything else, very stable and like walking on pillows--I won't leave home without them.

Thanks all...I was really more interested in all day walking, so I will reconsider.

I have about 10 pair of Fly London and while I do not have this particular style, many pairs that I have do have this very heel. The longest I have worn them is for 16 hours. I have stood for hours in them. I highly recommend Fly Londons and this pair if very, very cute. Go for it. I normally wear a narrow and some of the styles run more narrow than others so some styles I can wear and others not so much.

Amazon has great prices on Fly London shoes. i just bought this sandal for $80, with free Prime shipping---from UK!

https://www.amazon.com/FLY-London-Womens-Ygor-Wedge/dp/B00R7DJTMI.

They have about four pages of sandals, including the more covered-up Yile mentioned above. And some with a lower-profile sole than the wedge platform. Personally I have not had any trouble walking in mine with the wedge platform for hours ( not good for cobblestones, though). There are more styles if you crave boots.

The logo on the shoebox is so aggressive and ugly I avert my eyes until it is open and I can see the shoes inside.

I had great luck in Europe walking around in J41 sandals. Has a bit of a heel and an adjustable ankle strap. Not so high as to be wobbly, but still feminine and not too matronly. ;-)
