Charix shoes

Many years ago I bought a pair of Timberland loafers & wore them to death. All-day comfort, respectable looking to dress up, Vikram soles for cobblestones, etc. They are no longer available & I've been looking for a replacement. I take Alta trail-runners, but I need something comfortable & easy to pack, too. Has anyone tried Charix brand? Their stores are on the wrong coast for me to try in person & I would like a traveler's perspective. I'm considering the loafer versus the slip-on.

I have a pair of the loafers. I purchased them when they were only full sizes no half. I usually wear a 7.5 and ordered an 8. I did have to put those heal cushions in but with my orthotics added in they fit fine. I have worn them with toe socks with no problems, but I only walk around the city where I live, haven’t taken them in a trip yet. Since I try very hard to pack light, they never seem to make the cut only cause I have other shoes I like better. I have them in cranberry.

Thanks Roxane and Barbara. I hadn't heard of Charix shoes before. They are quite attractive and as the website says, timeless. I will keep them in mind when i need new loafers.

OP

Here on the Left Coast ( aka the West coast of CA) you can definitely find the Keen brand of shoes. Found mine at an REI store.

Have you reviewed their loafers to see if they meet your criteria?

I’ve accumulated 8 different pairs after I discovered they alleviated my plantar fasciitis. Not cheap but lightweight and durable. For me worth every penny.

Have slip ons, lace ups and sandals. Take a look at the website. https://www.keenfootwear.com/

Mine have traveled a great deal and look fine. Soles look like new. Different pairs have been worn in London, Yosemite, Santa Fe, Grand Canyon, Havana, Rome, Lake Como, Thames River path, LA countless other places.

Believe there is an REI in Dublin…
