Best slip-on walking shoes but also for business

For the last 8 years or so, I have been traveling with only one pair of shoes - Merrell Jungle Mocs. Very comfortable for walking and slip-ons are a requirement for me getting through airports. Also, they don't need a shoe horn but feel tight on your feet which reduces blisters.

But now I am traveling a lot more for business and want something similar in comfort but with a more business look. Any ideas? I don't want to start traveling with two pairs of shoes.

I need a pair of shoes that I can easily slip back on my feet while standing up - no shoe horn, no bending down, and fit tight enough so there is no rubbing against my heels.

My husband has traveled with that same style of Eccos as Brian, for years, and loves them. They are much lighter-weight than they look. Very soft leather. He's never needed a shoe horn. Wears them for business travel also. (He can take a very small carry-on with a stack of starched shirts straight from the cleaners, a Donegal tweed jacket, and that one pair of shoes, and always looks better dressed than I do!)

The Eccos fit fairly snugly. I can slip them on standing up but it takes a little wiggling, and it takes a little break in to get to that point. I don’t use mine for travel. I prefer lace up shoes for that (also Eccos). For me, 30 seconds to tie my shoes if I have to remove them at an airport isn’t really a big consideration. If it was I’d definitely wear the Ecco slip ons. Mine are brown nubuck type leather. The smooth black ones probably look a little dressier. They are extremely comfortable. I’d also add that we all have different feet, so your mileage may vary. The Eccos I wear for travel are called Track II Low, in black.

I'm wearing Sketchers right now. The memory foam insides is extremely comfortable. And they're far less expensive to buy than my Merrells.

Skechers hands down . (Skecher GOGA Max) I walked all over Italy , Greece and Croatia in June 2019 . Two weeks after I got home I left for Amsterdam , the Netherlands and that's a walking city . Walked everywhere there for 2 weeks and never had sore feet or any problems and these Sketchers still look almost new !

Actually bought two pairs of Sketchers on Amazon a few days ago - GO Walk Max Gen 5 and GO Walk 4. Both were hard as hell to get on but once on felt feel very comfortable. Will take a pair to Chicago for a wedding this weekend.

And then this comment of yours about what you purchased

What happened?

Worked out well once the Sketchers got a little stretched out after 3-4 wears. Love them without socks as they are so airy. Still can't just slip them easily on but its not so bad to bend over and use the pulls at the back of the shoe to get them on. I definitely recommend them.
