Allbird Tree Breezers

I've considered them for the same reasons - something to change into after a day of walking. I'm afraid you may need to just bite the bullet and order a pair to try - or make a road trip down to San Francisco to their store. Wish I could. I think returns are free. That pair does have elastic around the top edge so may solve the narrow heel issue. Good luck.

I haven’t tried the skimmers but I have the tree runners and I love them. Lightweight, machine washable, and very comfortable. I’ve worn them as my only shoe on several European vacations.

Give yourself time to order a pair (or several) and try them on. It’s really the only way to know. Their returns are 100% free so it’s no risk or cost to you.

They only have whole sizes, so it might take a couple of tries. I learned that the men’s and women’s styles are exactly the same (well, the runners are), but sized slightly differently. So if you’re between sizes, try a men’s size. (I think my size 8 ½ foot fit a men’s size 7?)

FYI, the shoes do stretch a little once you wear them, so maybe keep that in mind when you try them on for size (especially around your heel).

My son gave me a pair for Christmas, but the size was too small. They were lovely and prompt about sorting it out and getting me the right size, which arrived this week. They’re very comfortable so far and the best part is that the insole is easy to removed for my orthotics.

I have three pairs of allbirds and love them.

Wool mizzlers, wool mizzlers up(higher tops) and tree breezes.

I finally went to my running store to get my ortho incerts which will fit all three shoes. Still have not decided on which pair to take on our trip in May for 24 days.

Update! I received my Allbirds Tree Breezers and they are wonderful. Very light, very comfy, and the heel stays on my foot just fine! I definitely recommend them!
