Abeo shoes/sandals

I have not seen the Abeo brand posted here before but I can't speak highly enough of this line of shoes. They are the Walking Company's own brand. I went to the store and was measured and found out I was 1/2 size larger than I had been purchasing. The shoes/sandals come in varying arch supports. I bought 2 pairs of metarsal support sandals and that is all I am bringing on an upcoming trip to France. A little slice of heaven. I usually brought Eccos or Naots on my trips but not anymore. Great support and comfort.

Me too, Debbie. Another brand not often mentioned is Ahnu. I have Abeo sandals and Ahnu hiking boots and flats. I have had Eccos and Danskos and many other excellent brands, but my feet and legs and knees and back are loving my Abeos and Ahnus now.

Two pairs of Eccos, and I really don't know why they get high ratings, because didn't work for me. Even broken in, and after a year, still painful. But Merrells worked really well!

Will look for these brands you two mentioned. Thanks.

Thanks so much for the tip, I haven't tried Abeo. I did the entire Med in a great pair of mary jane Eccos and I have some Naots, but I am going to try the Abeos!

I brought 2 pairs of Abeo to Italy last September. At home they were comfortable but in Italy, because of the humidity and all the walking they were SO uncomfortable. From now on I will stay with my Ecco Yukatans. In my opinion the best walking shoes ever made. I will have to say that my feet are wide and I have a high arch.

I use the Abeo Metarsal too. Love them! I thought I was the only one that did not like Ecco but I see someone else here does not like them. Everyone has different foot issues.

Thanks for sharing! I'm still looking for shoes for my trip this summer, so I'll add these to my list of shoes to try on!
