Where to stay in Ghent?

My mom and going to be in Ghent for 6 nights. She is 84 and really want most central easy location. We have tried Chambre Plus and Bele Etage but nothing available. Any other ideas of places to stay?
Thanks! Cj and mom

There's a Marriott that is in a historic building, just a footbridge (level) away from the historic center. The hotel has views if a canal and city. I stayed in a smaller hotel nearby but it didn't have an elevator. Very good restaurants nearby as well (across the bridge).

Hi Thanks for your reply. To clarify, she is fine with stairs but do not want to have to walk to get to center of Ghent since 5 min walk can be 15 or 20 for mom. We like smaller quaint more personal places to stay.
Thanks again

B&B King is still not an option? You can try also getting in contact with B&B De Bijloke in the Nederkouter with two tramstations very nearby. Website: www.bbbijloke.com

I stayed at the Ghent River Hotel. Refurbished industrial building, very quaint with a killer breakfast room on the top floor. Quiet, and just off the Vrijdagsmarkt (great restaurants). The Marriott is also great, and right by all the shopping. Noisier area, though.
