Traveling with children

My husband and I will travel to Europe next June 2026 with our 3 adult children, their spouses, and 5 grandchildren. We will include a 4-day visit to Leuven, Belgium, for a friend's wedding. The wedding will be at a venue in Èghezèe. Does anyone have a recommendation for stays in Leuven or any other town where kids (ages 12 to 4) can enjoy activities too? Thank you.

Alas, I don't know Leuven that well, having only been once and not with an eye to amusing children at that time, but I have for you a list of playgrounds in and around Leuven. The water playground at Sluis caught my eye:

The word 'speeltuin' is the word for playground. At least they will be able to burn off a bit of energy after the strictures of behaving for the wedding :) . In Brussels there are any number of attractions for kids (there are for instance three museums of illusions, a car museum, a museum with sets of armour, a statue of a tiny naked boy peeing and a museum of all his costumes given as a gift by foreign governments, a lot of smurf-related artwork, the list goes on ...).
