Hi All,
Im looking at booking my train from Brugge to Paris on Oct 9th. We are early birds, so I'm looking at the 6:30am departure from Bruges with a transfer about an hour later in Brussels to the Eurostar to Paris.
We love getting to our next city bright and early, and this train has a good price so I'm eager to book it. My only concern is the transfer time- it's only 15 mins.
I'm pretty sure we don't have to do passport control like the Eurostar to London, but is there a separate check-in or security process that could make this tight? Im thinking if they are selling the connection, it's doable, but is it likely to be smooth? My mom has a bad knee, so running to a platform is not an option.
Can someone provide some logistics help for me please? How far apart are the two platforms likely to be? Is it a quick hop or a long slog with luggage? We've been in many train stations, but how difficult is Brussels Midi to navigate at that time of day?
Transfers are what we find the most stressful part of a trip, so I'm a little nervous about getting this right. I appreciate your patience!
Thank you!
