train from Brussels airport to Amsterdam city centre

We are travelling from Brussels airport to Amsterdam - so, landing at airport (BRU) and heading directly to AMS. Can this be done. What is the website to buy the tickets? Should we purchase them in advance. Thank you for any advice.

"Can this be done" - Yes, easy. Direct train every hour, leaving at xx:11, takes 2½ hours.
"What is the website to buy the tickets?" - The Belgian National Railways site: https://www.b-europe.com/EN
"Should we purchase them in advance." - Probably not. If you are flying intercontinental you cannot predict when your plane will land. And immigration could delay you. Buying a ticket in advance is a gamble that you don't miss it and loose your money. Safer, but more expensive to buy a ticket when you land.

Hi bandric3, I just did this exact journey 3 weeks ago. It's a piece of cake! When you land in Brussels just go down to the train station at the airport (I think it was level -1) and purchase tickets either from a machine or a person in the ticket office, then get on the next train leaving for Amsterdam. If I remember right, direct trains without any changes left about once an hour at 33 minutes (I think) past the hour. It was around a 3 hour ride. Let me know if you have any other questions and have a nice trip!
