train from airport to Brussels city center/airport hotel recommendations

Hi there,
I'm planning to base myself in Bruges while in Belgium but I fly into Brussels. Because my BnB won't be ready until the afternoon, I'm thinking of catching a train to Brussels city center from the airport, leaving my bags at Central Station, and exploring Brussels for a few hours. I read in Rick's guidebook that there are lockers at Central Station but he writes, "note that fast, international trains depart from Midi/Zuid station--not from Central Station) so I just wanted to ask whether any of you knew if the train from the airport goes to Central Station (it wasn't readily apparent when I looked online).

Also, can anyone recommend a Brussels airport hotel? Although I plan to base in Bruges for the whole trip, I'm going to spend my last night in Brussels because I have an early flight the next morning.

Yes, trains from the airport call at Central Station, as well as Zuid and Nord.

You probably want to check train schedules and fares out at Belgian Rail website

As for airport hotels, the Sheraton is the only one onsite so you don't have to fiddle
with a shuttle. For my money, I'd consider staying downtown at a hotel close to one
of the rail stations, since it's 15-20 minutes by train to the airport, and a hotel shuttle
a) may not run early in the morning b) may be slower than you think c) you get to
enjoy the city for another night.

The transport is not as simple and cheap (I'd take a cab, rather than a bus), but Leuven is an even nicer place for the last day/night than Brussels. It's really close to the airport.
