We (5 people) will be arriving to Zeebrugge by cruise ship on May 13/17. We are looking into booking a taxi to Bruges. Any suggestions from travelers who might have used such a service?
Have no idea how much a taxi in this case costs but it will not be cheap. Some cruise companies organize their own shuttle service, but maybe public transport can still be an interesting option as some here on the forum like a drive with the coasttram.
From the cruise terminal you can walk some ten minutes to the most nearby tramstop in Zeebrugge for catching the coasttram (15 min.) to Blankenberge and there the train (15 min.) to Brugge. You can buy a group ticket ( 5 people and more) from the driver for the tram and so a one way ticket will cost you only €1,25 per person, and is valid for 60 min. so also usable for the bus between the train station in Brugge to the centre if you like.
Train return ticket Blankenberge – Brugge costs €6,20 , so total costs with public transport for 5 persons is €43,50. Think about an hour travelling time.
De Lijn runs the coasttram and the bus, NMBS the train and have there own tickets.
