Have no idea, must be very expensive. Is it not better to take the train (€5 / 22min.) to Roeselare south of Bruges and from there a taxi or the bus (50min.) to Ypres (Ieper). Quickest combination train – bus takes 1½ hour. Driving time taxi Bruges to Ypres about an hour, Roeselare to Ypres about a 1/2hour.
Thank-you. I was not aware of the bus option. I just knew it would be two hours by train, with one transfer.
I appreciate the advice.
That two hours is I think the reason to look for a taxi. For going from Bruges to Ypres you have to change trains in Kortrijk/Courtrai and that’s quiet a detour, the reason it takes so long. Via Roeselare the total distance and traveltime will be shorter and the bus will stop at Grote Markt, in the middle of downtown Ypres. For planning you can use: www.reisinfo.delijn.be and select English, if you buy the busticket in this case for “3 and more zones” in advance like in a tobacco shop the one way ride will only cost €2. Ypres = Ieper on the website. The busroute runs mainly through the former battlefields.
