My husband and I would love to make a trip (hopefully one night) to St. Bernardus Brewery in Watou. We will be coming from Munich on the train and were planning to spend some time in Bruges as well. It doesn’t look like there is a train stop in Watou, but we were wondering if anyone knows if there is a bus that we could take from a nearby town or from Bruges?

If not driving you will take the train from Brugge to Poperinge
At Poperinge Train Station in front catch the number 29 bus to Watou Brouwershuis
They even have a Guest house you can book for a night

Is this brewery really so special to be worth to travel so far from Brugge?
Yes it is for real beer nerds aficionados : connoisseurs etc. on holiday or vacation

Totally worth the trip... As mentioned a great place for beer nerds. we stayed at the BNB and it is lovely. They have a beer honor bar....what more could you ask for? We were on a biking trip so I have no experience with the public transportation system.
