I have never visited a Spa or similar, but Thermae 2000 in Valkenburg is well known spa resort and has as far as I know a good reputation. Valkenburg lies some 15 km east of Maastricht, so in the south-east corner of the Netherlands.

I should add I’m looking for something old - baths that have been enjoyed over many years.

The only old ones I know of in Netherlands or Belgium is at Spa in the Belgian Ardennes. That's where a spa gets its name. Still going.

Was thinking about Spa in Belgium too, but the place itself is a bit faded glory. Nevertheless can be interesting if you look for a spa in a traditional setting, like Les Bains but no idea if it's restauration is completed and open again.
