I'll be in Belgium from Oct 28th to Nov 7th. I'm wondering if it would be worthwhile to stay in Ghent/Antwerp during the holiday, but thought maybe a day trip up to Amsterdam would be a better idea. Any insights are appreciated!

Likely many Belgians will combine All Saints’ Day and (some) All Souls’ Day this year with a free Monday so having a longer weekend. The same week in Belgium schools also have their autumn holidays, so expect many families are going out. So more people on the move that period, and will make to my opinion many places more cosy instead of a reason to avoid them, depending the weather ofcourse.
