Please recommend some restaurants for dinner or lunch.
Not sure when you're planning to visit (outdoor-seating conducive, etc), but here are two places we enjoyed last September:
- het Vosken [https://www.tvosken.be/en/]
casual spot for lunch with very good food; location adjacent to St Bavo (and Chocolatier Van Hoorebeke) - het Waterhuis [https://visit.gent.be/en/eat-drink/waterhuis-aan-de-bierkant]
patio seating alongside the canal, sip a delicious beer and watch the world go by
Enjoy!
These are our two favorite restaurants in Ghent:
- Bado Bado. This is a cute Indonesian restaurant located in the Patershol neighborhood. Most are aware that The Netherlands is the country known for Indonesian cuisine but this place is top notch. Reservations are highly recommended.
- Balls & Glory. This is a more laid back restaurant well known (locally) for hearty meat (and veggie) balls often stuffed with wonderfully complex ingredients. Great salads and drinks/beer as well.
