We will be in Bruges at the end of July for two nights. Can anyone recommend a good, medium-priced restaurant? Outdoor seating is a plus. Thanks!
We had made a reservation at a restaurant but when we looked in the window there were only 2 people . We heard a lot of laughter at a restaurant about 3 doors down. We decided to go in and it was packed with locals. We were fortunate to get the last seat. I cannot recommend it highly enough. The surprise was the bucket of muscles with a hint of curry(you can select what sauce you want them cooked in. We still talk about that meal to this day . It is called the Cambrinus . If I remember correctly it is moderately priced. Bruges is noted for mussels and I don't think you will be disappointed.
Outdoor seating, right off the Markt:

Run by the former proprietors of In den Wittenkop, very good!
We had a nice meal at Brasserie Raymond. It did not have outdoor seating.
Shelley, I'm curious, what was the first restaurant?
For ambience, hard to beat Maximiliaan van Oostenrijk, right on Begijnhof and the Minnewater. Lots of swans. https://www.maximiliaanvanoostenrijk.be/en/
