We have 3 days between our visit in Amsterdam to Pairs and we would like to stop and visit Bruges for these three days. I am looking for recommendations for travel from Amsterdam to Bruges, places to stay, eat and sites to see for these three days.
If you will be there 3 days a good guidebook will help you a lot, and has walks in Bruges, information about nearby Ghent, transportation, and places to stay - our host here, Rick Steves, has a good one.
I've always stayed, except twice, in B&Bs in Bruges. One hotel we stayed in doesn't exist any more, the other is the Crowne Plaza in the centre, with the Roman ruins in the basement. A decent, but expensive, hotel, great location. We haven't been back since covid so I don't know who has stayed in business and who hasn't, especially in the B&B line.
Amsterdam to Bruges is very easy by train.
If you'll be in Amsterdam in April - will you visit Keukenhof before heading south? It is a wonderful place.
Thank you Nigel for your kind reply very helpful.
This is not precisely your question, but it is an example of what you might pick up with a search using the box at the top center. And it contains a few helpful details for the trip you propose.
