We will be staying in Brussels for five days in August. Do you have suggestions of good places to stay during our trip there please? Also do you have any places to see/walking tours and restaurants in Brussels that you could recommend? Thank you.

We stayed in the Hotel a la Grande Cloche. It is a boutique no frills hotel conveniently located. It is close to the train station and Grand Place which is one of the most beautiful market squares in Europe. Also we went to Les Galeries Royales Saint -Hubert. which is an arcade shopping area with restaurants, chocolate shops and high end stores. One of the best places we ate at and it is considered the top waffle place in Belgium is Maison Dandoy. It is located in Les Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert and had the best waffles and hot chocolate I ever had. Do not eat at the Waffle Factory which was awful. It's like the McDonalds of waffles.Also close by to the hotel was Mannekin Pis which is a small water fountain that they dress up in clothes and guess where the water comes out of? When you go to the Grand Place there are many walking tours available; some free .Sandisman is a popular one. Amadeus was a good restaurant we ate at.They actually have all you can eat food!
But mainly we stayed in Brussels for 5 days also and used it as a jumping off point for day trips by train to Ghent, Antwerp and Bruges.
