My husband and I will be in Brussels for two nights next week 26-28 of September. Any recommendations for reasonable places to stay overnight?
We stayed at Hôtel La Légende, Rue du Lombard 35 in 2018. It’s near the central train station and a couple blocks from the Grand Place and Manneken Pis statue. For your nights the web is showing $111 a night. We liked its location and the staff was friendly. It’s not a luxury hotel but perfectly fine for a couple nights.
In July 2019, I spent 2 nights at Maxhotel in Brussels, on Adolphe Max 107, 1000 Brussels. It is within close enough walking distance of the train station I arrived at. It is a low end but still decent typical hotel. It did the job fine. There was a catatonic-looking homeless lady laying 15 feet from entrance the first day I arrived. But maybe homeless people sleep near the high end hotels too. The lobby was tiny. The 2nd floor (1st floor in European thinking. They call the first floor of buildings the ground floor) has a seating area where they might serve a breakfast, and where there are luggage storage lockers if you arrive before check-in time. The lockers cost about a 2 euro coin when I used one. You do not get your coin back because it is a cost, not like the lockers in grocery stores in Spain that give you back your change when you open the locker. A hotel is just a place to sleep.
