Hi everyone. I have a problem
And hope someone out there can help. I am in Bruges, leaving tomorrow to go to Paris. I'm traveling on a global rail pass, but of course had to make advance seat reservations traveling from Brussels to Paris and again from Paris to Colmar. But I just realized I left the reservations at home by mistake. (But I do have my rail passes) Will I be able to go to the train station tomorrow and make new reservations and still use my rail pass? I could get someone from home to send a photocopy of the seat reservation, but I don't know if that would work. The price of tickets is about $200 for Paris and another $200 to Colmar. Definitely stressing about all of this and trying to figure out how to handle. This is my first trip to Europe and I am not sure how it all works yet. Andy advice would be appreciated!
Did you get an email confirmation with your reservation? Perhaps you can just get it re-printed at the train station with a confirmation number? It would be worth a trip the train station in Bruges today to see. If they can't - and tell you you need to pay for new ones - there is another option. If you are not short on time I can route on all trains that do not require any reservations or added fees with the rail pass. - it just takes longer to get from point A to point B.
If you have the emails, you can also see if your hotel can print them out. Ask and see.
