I am looking to hire a car and driver for a day to travel from Brussels to the Ardeenes American cemetery near Liege. Returning same day. We are 4 adults traveling to visit a relative's grave site and would like to spend some time at the cemetery before returning to Brussels.

Take the train to Liège and then a bus or taxi to the cementary. That sounds like a much better option in my opinion.

As the other poster said a train to Liege and then a car and driver to the Cemetery would be cost effective and efficient. You should contact the Cemetery directly for advice on transportation options. The Superintendent’s Office at each Cemetery is sensitive to those visiting relatives. Look at abmc.gov and then drill down for the specific location.

Actually if you want to find out how to get there by public transit just use the Belgian Railways' trip planner.
Enter "Brussel Central" (or whatever is the closest station) in the from box, and "Neupré, Cimetière Américain de Neuville" as destination.
Comprehensive door to door trip planners for public transit exist for most countries in Europe nowadays.
