If you don't have a particular reason to be in Liège (I think that's where you mean) you might consider either of the other two nearby cities which with Liège form a small triangle - Aachen in Germany and Maastricht in Liburg province of Netherlands. Both of them have charm and interesting things to see.

The new train which now re-connects Maastricht and Aachen will eventually link up also with Liège - but I do not believe it is yet linked. There are other train services between Liège and Aachen.

I got my hairbrush in Aachen and will need soon to make another trip so I can replace it.

If you visit Aachen see if you can get some Printen. Out of season now but somebody probably has some left over from Christmas and they will last nearly forever if kept dry. Yum
