Hotels in Ghent?

I don’t know what your price point is, but I had a lovely stay at Pillows Grand Boutique Hotel Reylof last year.

I've enjoyed the Hotel Harmony twice. Once at the start of a Rick Steves tour, once on my own before a Road Scholar tour which stayed at another hotel. The breakfast buffet (even post Covid) was awesome. Yes to chocolates at breakfast!

I do not know if they have AC which is something I would check.

I second the Hotel Harmony. Very nice and great location.

I used to stay - very happily - at the Hotel Harmony when the second generation were learning the business and working in London. Absolutely lovely, and as mentioned above an exquisite breakfast. Great views over a scenic part of the canal.

Then it found its way into the Rick Steves book and the prices shot up. It is beyond my price point now, but given the opportunity again I would be there in a New York minute.

Well, one more Harmonizer. We had a very nice stay this spring. It’s costlier than our usual goal but location, breakfast, staff were all excellent. Safe travels.

How much was the Hotel Harmony per night? Looks great. We're planning to go next winter.

OK well everyone loves Hotel Harmony so I just booked it! :). It was like $250ish per night (early June)... normally I try to get cheaper but we scored a nice and cheap vrbo we are splitting with the other couple in Leiden, so I think it balances out. :).

Go outside first thing in the morning in front of the Hotel Harmony while the canal is quiet! You'll capture some pretty pictures and pinch yourself at Ghent's charm and beauty!
