Hotel in Bruges

Can anyone recommend a centrally located hotel that would be appropriate for a family with children 6 and 7 years old?

Hi, Victoria: We were in Bruges a couple of years ago on an RS tour, and stayed at a lovely little hotel called Hotel Adornes. The website is www.adornes.be. It was in a beautiful, quiet area an easy walk from all the sights. Don't know if they had family rooms, but it's worth a look. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

I enjoyed Hotel Groenighe, not sure about family rooms, though. Great breakfast.

Victoria,

Another vote for Hotel Adornes. It's a really nice hotel and a great location.

My husband and I stayed several days at the Hotel Adornes a few years ago. It was a wonderful experience with wonderfully helpful hosts, great breakfasts and a fun attic room-it was huge and even had a canal view. At that time (maybe still?), the booking came with use of their bikes which we used extensively in the city and even biked along a path into the Netherlands. As an extra bonus, the owners had a soccer playing dog in residence!

In 2002 I stayed at the B&B Dieltiens, and liked it a lot. A recent poster here said it was still nice. The only problem would be if you can't do stairs; there's no elevator and the rooms are up one (somewhat steep) flight.

Looking at their website, they also operate an apartment, which might be good with a family.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the Grand Hotel Casselbergh. They had a very comprehensive breakfast included when you booked through the hotel's website. It was very centrally located and we saw several families staying there during the Christmas holiday. There is a nice sized elevator as well. http://www.grandhotelcasselbergh.com/

We stayed at Dieltens B&B last year and loved it! I agree with Harold that with four of you, it might be better to stay in their apartment. You'll have more room to spread out and it's in a great location. Their prices are very reasonable too.

Hello Victoria,
I stayed two nights in Bruges at the Hotel Anselmus a couple of years back. It was reasonably priced, comfortable, and very centrally located. It certainly merits an online look.
