Horta Museum in Brussels -stairs

We would like to visit the Horta Museum but are concerned about the stairs. My friend has difficulties doing stairs.
Any comments about how steep or how long the staircases are,

Any recommendations on good places to view Art Nouveau architecture?

Thanks
Susan

If you google 'Horta House staircase' and select images you will get a good idea of how daunting the stairs are. From memory there are three storeys and Horta's bedroom is on the top floor. The staircase is unavoidable, but the stairs are wide and not especially steep (unlike the stairs in Dutch houses). The suggestion of Old England is a good one: nowadays it is the Musical Instruments Museum and it has a lift. And many of the cafés that Windyram suggests are on one floor (Le Cirio for example), so you have some more options there.

Thanks for all the very helpful responses and ideas for alternatives!
We booked tickets for Horta and Maison Hannon and my friend will do what she can of it.
I might check out some of the restaurants and the Musical Instruments museum!
