Hoping to make a stop in Ghent for a few hours bewteen a trip back from Brugges to Brussels. Not having an overnight accomodation, are there any storage lockers for luggage in the station in Ghent, or nearby? Or any suggestions? Hoping not to tote a carry-on wheelie around. Thanks so much. I am a newbie to Europe, appreciate your well traveled knowledge!

Yes luggage storage is available at the main station. If memory serves, they have have a counter staffed by people instead of lockers.

The previous post is partially correct. The train station in Ghent does have lockers, but they’re self served via a payment terminal.

If it happens to fit your itinerary, it's entirely practical to take a half-day, unreserved train trip to Ghent while you are sleeping more than one night in Brugge. Just another idea.
